On Wednesday, Dec. 16, Baltimore’s own Sun Club blew the doors off the WTMD studios with a 50-minute set of high-velocity indie pop. Their music was like a caffeine rush — restless, energetic and above all, fun. Sun Club is having a breakout year — they signed to ATO Records, and have been featured in Rolling Stone, Spin and the Baltimore Sun. Their set for An Evening With Sun Club, featuring songs from their debut album “The Dongo Durango” and deep cuts, electrified the audience at the WTMD studios. Photographer Steve Parke shot the band prepping for the show backstage, and when they played live on air.
