On Tuesday May 12, 2026, WTMD presented an exclusive live performance and broadcast with country crooner Kashus Culpepper at Collective Encore in Columbia.
Last August, Culpepper was a big hit at our First Thursday Festival – and since then, things have only heated up.
Culpepper toured with Leon Bridges, Sierra Ferrell and Darius Rucker and released his first full-length album, “Act I,” in January. This year, he’s been headlining shows and also performing with Wyatt Flores and Eric Church.
While Culpepper sang in church as a child, it wasn’t until 2020’s global pandemic that he picked up a guitar and learned cover songs to play at barrack bonfires in Rota, Spain during his deployment with the Navy.
