Dr. Kalima Young is an Associate Professor in the Department of Film, Audio, Media Arts at Towson University. Her research explores the impact of race and gender-based trauma on Black identity and Black cultural production. When she makes her own films, they usually involve blood, aliens, psychics, or things that go bump in the night.
