In honor of Sesame Street’s 50th anniversary back in 2019, Young at Heart’s Lisa Mathews compiled some of her favorite Sesame Street songs for what she called a “Sesame Street Spectacular.” In some ways Sesame Street reflects a history of musical super stars which continues through today. Stephen Lawrence, one of the composers for many Sesame Street songs, passed away last December and Lisa thought maybe it’s time for a new “Sesame Street Spectacular.” So on this Saturday’s Young at Heart we’ll hear the “Second Sesame Street Spectacular,” featuring more favorite Sesame Street songs with musicians from the past through just a few months ago.
Enjoy!
