Update: This show is now SOLD OUT! If you weren’t able to get tickets, we will be broadcasting it live the morning of March 12.
If you have young kids, you already know all the words to the soundtracks of the movies “Frozen 1 & 2.”
WTMD’s Saturday Morning Tunes presents an all-new “Frozen” stage show performed by the classically trained opera singers Outcalls Jan. 22 at the B&O Railroad Museum.
And on Saturday March 12, WTMD’s Saturday Morning Tunes is thrilled to present a brand new “Frozen” stage show featuring songs from both movies, performed in costume by the classically trained opera singers Outcalls, at the B&O Railroad Museum’s picturesque Roundhouse.
It’s a show the whole family can enjoy, from the soaring high notes of “Let it Go” and “Into the Unknown” (for the kids) to subtle jokes about just how ridiculous both these movies are (for us parents). After the show, the princesses will pose for photos and meet the little ones. Everyone is encouraged to dress in costume.
This performance will be held in the round, from the middle of the B&O’s historic Roundhouse, which has plenty of historic trains for little ones to explore. The space can hold up to 1,000 adults, but we are drastically limiting the capacity for this show. And since Baltimore’s mask mandate remains in place, everyone 2 and older will be required to wear a mask.
We’re partnering with the B&O to provide free, on-site parking for all attendees. Plus: food and drinks (including adult beverages for us parents) will be available for purchase!
Doors open at 9 a.m. and the show starts at 10 a.m. March 12 at the B&O Railroad Museum, 901 W. Pratt St. in Baltimore. Made possible in part by Garrison Forest School, Clipper City Capital of Ameriprise Financial, (cool) progeny, International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees – IATSE Local 487 and Whiting-Turner Contracting.
Children under 2 are free. Family Four Packs are any combination of adults and children.
Led by Britt Olsen-Ecker and Melissa Wimbish. Outcalls creates pop music that counters the tired narratives pervading much of today’s popular songs. “No King,” their last album, features “art-pop songs” that unfold in chapters and have a cinematic quality. The duo’s 2018 single “Keep Falling Over” was voted the #1 Song of 2018 by 89.7 WTMD radio listeners. Outcalls has toured throughout the United States and Canada. They have opened for national acts such as Wolf Parade, Chicano Batman, Khruangbin, Robyn Hitchcock, Y La Bamba, San Fermin, Bent Knee, and paris_monster. Their forthcoming album is due February 2022.
