Dr. Kalima Young is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronic Media and Film at Towson University. Her research explores the impact of race and gender-based trauma on Black identity and Black cultural production. When she makes her own films, they usually involve blood, aliens, psychics, or things that go bump in the night.
WTMD 89.7 FM is a broadcast service of Baltimore Public Media, a 501(c)(3) that also operates WYPR 88.1 FM.
