The 5 O’clock Shadow: Monday August 16, 2021
This song was written and recorded in 1969 by a Jamaican artist who was, at the time, struggling to make a name for himself outside of his homeland.
The Shadow artist’s one time front man was born and raised in Washington D.C. As a teenager he worked at Inner Ear Studios in Arlington, VA., where he helped engineer Fugazi’s 1995 record Red Medicine.
Today’s Shadow version appears on an album which is a song for song tribute to a Harry Nilsson record.
