Earth Day is coming up this Thursday, April 22nd, and this year’s theme is Restore Our Earth. With the pandemic, many of us have found ourselves doing things that are more planet-friendly: we don’t drive as much – in fact, many of us have taken up bike-riding. We don’t fly on planes. We’ve started gardens. We walk more. To help us celebrate I’ll be playing some earth-centric songs and checking in with Charlie McGee of Formidable Vegetable. The band makes amazing Ecological Electro Funk Swing and Charlie is a firm believer in permaculture and regenerative, sustainable ways of doing things. So he’ll be Zooming in all the way from Australia, to talk about his work and the band’s just-released EP Garbage Guts. Charlie’s also got a solo project for adults called Not Just Charlie.
