The Shadow artist is an English singer known for her collaborations with George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic. In fact, she was the co-producer along with George Clinton of Parliament’s first album Osmium.
The woman who sang, the now legendary backing vocals on the original version of this song also released her own version which went to #73 on the charts in 1970.
This song has been used in 3 Scorsese films.
