It’s Women’s History Month and many museums will be having special exhibits for the study, observance and celebration of the vital role of women in history. Young listeners might want to check out the National Museum of American History’s online exhibition Girlhood (Its Complicated). The exhibit shows how girls have changed history in five areas: politics, education, work, health and fashion. Inspired by this month and International Women’s Day this Monday, today’s show is full of music by some of my favorite female artists.
We’ve also got an Artist Interview with kindle rocker Joanie Leeds, who’s latest album All the Ladies, is up for a Grammy award and features an all-female line-up – from singers and musicians to engineer and producer.
Enjoy, and please like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram at Young at Heart Radio.
