The original artist’s music has been called ‘outsider folk’. He was a fixture in the Greenwich Village Folk scene in the 1960’s and 70’s. He is also a cartoonist and painter and created most of his album covers. His nickname is Doc Snock. He has a daughter named Daffodil and another named Wilder Mountian Honey. He is a character and still playing music in and around Portland at age 78.

The Shadow artist’s stage moniker incorporates the name of the town he’s from in Pennsylvania. In fact, he and the original artist both hail from Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

The song is about wanting someone to treat you a certain way.
