On this Saturday’s Young At Heart we’ll be celebrating the dads, with music from dads about being a dad or even from the kid point-of-view looking up to their dad. Father’s Day was established here in America back in 1966, when President Lyndon B. Johnson issued the first presidential proclamation honoring fathers, designating the third Sunday in June as Father’s Day. Six years later, the day was made a permanent national holiday when President Richard Nixon signed it into law in 1972.
Brian and Tom of Milkshake will be here for Talking Tunes, and today’s tune is “Candy Man” by Sammy Davis Jr.
And we’ve got new music from kindie dads Brady Rymer and Luke Laird, along with a new song from Sparks that I think dads will relate to.
Enjoy! And please follow us on Instagram and like us on Facebook at Young at Heart Radio.
