Like many of us, this pandemic has been an interesting and somewhat scary time. We have never really experienced anything like it, with the need to stay home for many weeks for our own safety and that of others. So today’s show features songs about being home. Our experiences of home and what and where that is is uniquely different. Are we alone in our home? Are we with people we love? Is our home tiny or big? Do we have pets to play with, or a brother or sister? There’s a saying “Home is where the heart is” and I hope your experience of being home has been a gentle one, and one of growth.

I’ve spent the last few weeks working on a little studio, and I am sending this and future new editions of Young at Heart from my home. It’s strange and I miss spending hours at WTMD with my fellow dedicated music-lovers. I look forward to the time when we can all be back at the station together. Until then, we are – like many people – finding new ways to do things we need and want to do.

Brian and Tom of the Milkshake band are back with another Talking Tunes, this time it’s “No More Kings” from Schoolhouse Rock.

Enjoy, stay safe, be well and don’t forget to follow us on Instagram and like us on Facebook at Young at Heart Radio.
