Lately I’ve been thinking about food. I love to cook, and maybe you do, too. It’s fun. Creative. I ask for cookbooks every birthday. I have a lot of cookbooks. In last Sunday’s New York Times there was another pull-out cookbook and I felt like it was…my birthday! A few weeks ago, I was one of the judges for the Kids Competition at the annual Small Foods Party at AVAM and it was hard to choose a winner. So many amazing foods presented by kids 12 and under. I loved it! Inspired by these great young chefs, today’s show is full of songs about food.

Brian Simms and Tom Moon of the Milkshake band will be back for a new Talking Tunes, and today’s tune is “Banana Split for My Baby” by Louis Prima.
