The Shadow artist and original artist are both legendary. Both of their careers began in the early 60’s. One of the biggest differences between them, beyond genre and country of origin, was age. In the 1960’s the Shadow artist was a child.
The Shadow artist is tied for the most ever Grammy Album of the Year wins with three. He is also the only artist to have won the award with three consecutive album releases.
The original artist are the best-selling music act of all time.
At first glance the song appears to be one of compromise but if you listen closely to the lyrics the message actually seems to be more of “my way or the highway”.
