The 5 O’clock Shadow: November 6, 2019
The idea for the title of this song came when the songwriter saw a sign for Silver Spring, Maryland while driving with her boyfriend and songwriting partner. The name was, to her, so beautiful that she wrote it into the song.
The song was written about the lyricist’s partner and band-mate whom she wanted to never forget her. About the song she said, “It was me realizing that he was going to haunt me for the rest of my life, and he has.”
The Shadow artist father is a member of the Swedish punk-reggae band Dag Vag.
