Joel Hodgson, the creator of Mystery Science Theater 3000, is retiring soon. The Great Cheesy Movie Circus tour comes to the Lyric this week. Joel talked with WTMD’s Sam Gallant ahead of the show to explain himself after more than 30 years of manic movie mayhem.
