Both the Shadow artist and the original artist are well-known and outspoken vegans.
In 2017, the Shadow artist released a cover of the song, originally released in 1982 following the death of the original bands lead guitarist. The cover was released as a tribute to the original bands lead singer with whom the Shadow artist says he has had one of the “longest and enduring” friendships.
