We are very excited to welcome Carrie Evans as our newest air-host.

Evans has been the popular midday host at 103.1 WRNR-Annapolis for several years, where she built a loyal and enthusiastic following.

Carrie has a lifelong passion for music and she brings to air the excitement and enthusiasm of a fan who can’t wait to share new music discoveries with her friends. She is energetic, knowledgeable and fun to listen to. She will be a great asset to WTMD and we know that you are going to love her.

Evans moves into the Afternoon Drive Host position (3 p.m.-7 p.m. Mondays-Fridays) beginning Thursday, Aug. 15. She will be joining a team of award-winning air hosts, including her former WRNR colleague, Alex Cortright, now WTMD’s Morning Host, as well as WHFS legend Jonathan “Weasel” Gilbert, host of Weasel’s Wild Weekend plus Sam Gallant, Don Rogers and the rest.

This move will strengthen Evans’s connection to a city she has long loved. As a child, she went to Orioles games at Memorial Stadium with her father, and later, she remembers seeing Warren Zevon play “Werewolves of London” at Bohager’s. She has been to almost as many Whartscapes as Artscapes, and enjoys singing karaoke at the Crown in Baltimore’s Station North Arts and Entertainment District.

“I am more than just thrilled to be coming to Baltimore – it simply feels like the most natural thing for me to do,” Evans said. “I humbly join a legendary, music-centric staff that prides itself on discovering and sharing an unprecedented array of music and I am honored for the opportunity to work at WTMD. It’s the musical heartbeat of the city I so love.”
