Considered one of the Rolling Stones greatest albums, Exile on Main Street went to number one on this day in 1972. Today we are looking for two Shadow versions of two songs found on this classic album.

Shadow artist number one, grew up in the DC suburbs. His first instrument was accordion and his first band’s name might make you feel like smiling. He’s gone on to play guitar in a couple of very famous rock and roll bands and maintains a solo career. The song could also make you feel like smiling.

Shadow artist number two has been a group with varied line up changes for seven decades. The lead singers throughout the decades have shared a common condition. They emerged into the mainstream in the early 90’s. Their Shadow choice makes sense especially for the genre they were initially known in.
