The title of today’s shadow sounds like something you would write on a postcard to a friend while on vacation. It’s really about alienation and the longing for an absent friend. I t would also serve as the title track of the bands ninth album in 1975.

The Shadow version comes from a 1990’s shoegaze band that took their name from an instrument of torturous execution in the middle ages. Their music was anything but torturous and the band enjoyed considerable underground success. The lead singer is cousins with the vocalist for Iron Maiden.
