Hailing from Ann Arbor, Michigan, the original band exploded onto the Detroit rock & roll scene in 1967. Led by their wild and unpredictable frontman, they paved the way for just about every loud, volatile, hard rocking band that came after.

This was the opening track to their debut album, released in 1969… obviously.

The Shadow act counted former Smiths’ guitarist Johnny Marr as a member for a brief period in 1987. In fact, he plays on this recording.

The 5 O’Clock Shadow is presented by Flying Dog Brewery.
