Nini Fabi and Benny Gebert make up the German duo Haerts, currently based in Brooklyn, NY. They began making waves in 2014 with the release of their debut album – Nini’s voice soaring over Benny’s sprawling arrangements making for songs that are as powerful and moving as they are sweet and infectious. More than four years later, the duo have released their long-awaited follow-up, New Compassion. To shake off any pressure and anxieties they may have been feeling when it came time to make the new album, they left the hustle and bustle of city life for more peaceful surroundings in the Hudson Valley and got to work crafting a collection of songs that take us through a personal and emotional journey with beautiful lush production and a real sense of creative freedom.
