In 1970s America, amidst a society in turmoil, one woman exploded onto the scene. Her attitude challenged and threatened established America. She married, transformed and left Miles Davis in a single year.

Betty Davis wrote and produced three albums and changed the landscape for women in music forever.
Then she disappeared — for 35 years.

Now, Betty Davis is finally ready to tell her story in the eye-opening new documentary “They Say I’m Different,” getting its Maryland premiere on Thursday June 28 at WTMD.

This a free screening, presented by the WTMD Film Series in partnership with Towson University’s Department of Electronic Media and Film.
