A few weeks ago I got to chat with Thulani and Tommy Shabalala of Ladysmith Black Mombazo at the Rams Head Tavern in Annapolis, and this morning we’ll hear our conversation about the power of music and hope, some music off their Grammy-nominated kindie release. Inspired by their songs in both English and Zulu, I’ve gathered some music from artists from other countries and cultures to share with you this morning. Listen for new songs by Uno Dos Tres Andres, Falu’s Bazaar, Suni Paz and Elizabeth Mitchell and Sonia De Los Santos – all wonderful kindie artists with new CDs for families, sung in different languages.
Brian and Tom of Milkshake will be here for Talking Tunes, and today’s tune is “May All Your Favorite Bands Stay Together” by Dawes.
Enjoy!
