Today we’ll be celebrating the moms out there, with songs for Mother’s Day. And, hey, because Mother’s Day is tomorrow, there’s still time to make that special card and maybe plan for a nice breakfast or something you know mom loves to do!
Brian and Tom of Milkshake will be here for Talking Tunes, and today’s tune is “Money Changes Everything” by Cyndi Lauper. Not exactly a Mother’s Day song, but as a mom myself, I have tried to teach my daughter about money – how to save it, and its power in general in our society.
Lots of new CDs from kindie artists are being released this spring and summer. Today we’ll hear new music from Cheri MaGill, Vered, Jesse Baylin and Suzi Shelton – all of them moms. I have to say it’s so good to hear all these new female kindie artists – years ago it seemed like a dad’s world when it came to kindie, so I’m happy to share these voices with you.
