This song – written from the point of view of parents who want their son to be happy – was included on their third studio album in 1979.

The Shadow artist is known mainly as a session musician and producer, but has recorded and released lots of music as a solo artist as well. He played organ on one of Bob Dylan’s most famous songs in 1965, and co-founded Blood Sweat & Tears a couple years later.

The 5 O’Clock Shadow is presented by Flying Dog Brewery.
