This Kingston, Ontario band are legendary in Canada, but still relatively unknown here in the states. They included this song – which shares a name with a form of Spanish music and dance – on their fifth studio album in 1996.
The Shadow artist is a fellow Canadian who cut her teeth as part of a popular indie-rock collective, one who just a few months ago released their first new album in 7 years. She recorded this raw and stripped down version as a tribute, after learning of her friend’s diagnosis last year.
