Regina Spektor will return to The Hippodrome Theatre later this year, and this time, she’s on her own. She’ll be embarking on a month long solo run, dubbed A Very Special Solo Performance, in October, during which she’ll play songs spanning her entire career. As she says in a note on her website, “it will be just me and a piano (and probably my little blue guitar too:-).”
Spektor’s music and delivery has always had that raw and authentic kind of feel, and though she sounds great backed by a band, it’s easy to imagine her sweet and quirky demeanor being perfect for an intimate show such as this.
