This week’s Adult Kid is Chris Ballew, a/k/a Caspar Babypants. Listeners might know Chris from the alt-rock band Presidents of the United States, but since 2009, Chris has been making music for families under the stage name Caspar Babypants. In making music with kids in mind, Chris has found a seemingly boundless creative outlet, and has released 12 CDs over 8 years. I chatted with Chris from his home in Seattle and we’ll hear some of our conversation in today’s show. Here’s a video of “Banana Bread,” a song off Away We Go, the new release from Caspar Babypants.
Also this week, we’ll hear songs off new releases from a few kindie bands: Tim Kubart’s Home, Joanie Leeds’ Brooklyn Baby, Walter Martin’s My Kinda Music and Yes Means Yes from local artist Acacia Sears, who performs as Ms Cacie and who graced the last Saturday Morning Tunes family concert at WTMD.
Enjoy the long weekend!
