Happy Earth Day! We’ll be starting your day off with some musical inspiration with eco and Earth-centric tunes to help you celebrate. If you’re not into going to the March For Science in DC, maybe you’ll be in a garden tending to plants or cleaning up some trash along a stream walk. It’s all good, and good for you. We’ll be chatting with Gretchen Dahlkamer, National Director of Moms Clean Air Force, a wonderful non-profit working to keep the air clean for our kids. Our Adult Kid is none other than one of the most green activist musicians I know, Jack Johnson. Jack has released many great CDs for adults, but in 2005, Jack recorded a soundtrack for the movie Curious George chock full of great songs for everyone. Here’s a video for “Upside Down,” a song off the CD, but on today’s show we’ll hear “The 3 R’s” – reduce, reuse, recycle.
I hope you enjoy this hour of songs and conversation celebrating and caring for our planet. Happy Earth Day!
