Super City have a sound that’s difficult to describe, and that’s part of what makes them one of Baltimore’s most unique and exciting bands. One moment you’re being swept away by soaring melodies and intricate, hypnotic guitars, and the next your raging out on some massive riffs and monster grooves.
The band has been in the studio working on new material and recently shared with us a brand new track called “Artificial Sin.” About the song, co-frontman Dan Ryan said “I like to think it sounds like if Grizzly Bear met with Prince and Tears for Fears and were influenced by Angel Olsen’s vocals.” I’d say that’s a fairly accurate description.
Give it a listen below, and also check out their great 2015 album Again Weekend. The band will be joining us here at WTMD for a live in-studio performance on October 7th. Be sure to secure your tickets to An Evening with Super City.
