Album art for Beach House's "Depression Cherry"

A couple of weeks ago the acclaimed Baltimore duo Beach House (Alex Scally and Victoria Legrand) released a new song called “Sparks,” our first taste of their forthcoming album Depression Cherry.  It’s a breathtaking song with lots of surprising sounds and textures, and it left many of us anxious and curious to hear more of this adventurous new direction they were headed in.

Alex and Victoria recently joined Jeremy Hobson on the NPR show Here & Now to talk about the new album and share two new tracks, “PPP” and “Beyond Love.” They also discuss how they started making music together, their unique sound, and how their hometown has influenced them. Hear the interview below.
