Eric Hutchinson
Takoma Park native Eric Hutchinson has a knack for making rhythmic, highly-addictive pop confections (think “OK, It’s Alright With Me,” “Watching You Watching Him,” “Rock and Roll,” etc.), ever since he was signed to Madonna’s Maverick record label (which quickly imploded leaving Eric without a backer, until celeb blogger Perez Hilton squawked poetically about him).

After writing mostly about other people, on his latest Pure Fiction, Hutchinson takes a gentle jab at social media while turning the mirror on himself a little. The album reflects a happy time in his life, versus the music-as-therapy fodder on previous records.
