He came from Iowa, she from British Columbia, and thanks to a chance encounter in Nashville, trumpeter and guitarist Tyler James Geertsma and singer Jessica Maros formed the dusty duo Escondido.
Their evocative, sexy, Southwestern, noirish debut The Ghosts of Escondido won them a fan in a director that knows a thing or two about that type of feel.
Escondido played some of their haungingly pretty music during a session recorded at Nice Package Recordings in Towson.
