At a Tuesday morning press conference, Baltimore City Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake officially announced the music line up and more for Artscape 2013. This is the 32nd year for Artscape which is billed as the largest “free” arts festival in the country. Musical headliners for the three day festival include The Wailers, Kem, North Mississippi All Stars (pictured), and The Dirty Dozen Brass Band. The theme of this year’s event is “No Passport Required”. The event will highlight local art as well as international art, throughout the Station North and Mt. Royal areas of the city July 19th, 20th and 21st. There is also a new mobile ap available for Artscape. It has maps, program guides and more.
