On August 7th, a new video game called Sound Shapes will be released for the Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita that will give music lovers a fun new way to experience, and interact with, a song. The game designers at Pyramid Attack have broken down each song in the game and created a virtual environment based on the sounds, lyrics, rhythms, and feel. Each track will be its own level, and each level will be completely unique.
Sound Shapes will feature three new songs by Beck, one of which can be heard in the trailer for the game. Deadmau5, Jim Guthrie and I Am Robot and Proud have also contributed music. Watch the trailer and preview Beck’s “Cities” below.
