“Clementine” from Sarah Jaffe‘s debut Suburban Nature chugs and builds with such a restrained intensity, it sounds like she’s going to burst!
But, the Denton, Texas native keeps the confessionals in check, allowing the listener to create the story’s end. With rich strings, tender vocals and even a sense of humor, Jaffe draws listeners into her sometines lonely world.
She doesn’t create characters or sing in third person, this is the young artist as she is.
Listen below to her recent Between the Grooves performance.
